
About me
Hi there! My name is Courtney Matous!
​
I am a full-time Director of Marketing & Creative for DriveCentric, Inc. In this role I am responsible for the visual designs for all collateral. I have a strong knowledge of the company’s brand, and I use this knowledge to create and review any content that is published. I have had a heavy hand in the creation of our new website. I am responsible for not only content creation, but marketing content strategy, and I coordinate the conferences where we showcase our mission and brand.

Prior to my role at DriveCentric, I have held various positions such as the Communications & Marketing Coordinator for the City of Waxahachie, the Graphic Designer for HD Vest Financial Services(now Avantax Wealth Management), the Graphic/Web Designer for the Texas A&M Center for Teaching Excellence(CTE), and many more roles. All of these have provided me with ample amount of experience in creative design, marketing, event management, social media, photography, and more.

I have a Professional Event Management Certification, and I have experience in Wedding & Event Planning. In college I interned for the company All Things Planned, and I have experience personally planning events from start to finish. It is definitely a true passion of mine!
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Visualization specializing in Graphic Design. I also graduated with a minor in Business Administration, a minor in Art and Architecture History, and a Professional Event Management Certification.

Although my work keeps me busy, my family is my number one passion and priority. I married my best friend, Matthew, in 2016, and together we live in Waxahachie, TX with our wonderful son, Luke, and our Goldendoodle, Sophie. I enjoy organizing, painting, baking and traveling.

My Skills
DESIGN
It all started in Adobe Photoshop. I have many years experience in graphic design using the Adobe Creative Suite software. I have utilized this experience in brands, print design, and media design. My skill set also includes website design and development using HTMl and CSS. I have experience with user interface and the full design and devlopment from start to finish of company websites.
EVENT PLANNING

I have a Professional Event Management Certification. I utilize this certification in my passion for organization, weddings, & event planning. I interned for a wedding and event coordinator which gives me the experience and skill set to coordinate weddings and events.
PHOTOGRAPHY
My hobby for photography has turned into a passion. I have experience in scenic, still life, and portrait photography. I would like to begin specializing in seniors, couples, families, newborns, & wedding photography.
