Hi there! My name is Courtney Matous!

I am a full-time Creative & Marketing Professional with over 10 years of creative design experience and a strong background in social media, marketing, and event planning.

Throughout my career, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of visual communication and its impact on brand engagement. I have a proven track record of creating compelling graphics and engaging social media content that resonates with target audiences and drives measurable results. My experience encompasses a wide range of design disciplines, including branding, digital marketing materials, and print collateral.

I am highly organized and thrive in fast-paced environments where multitasking and prioritizing are essential. I am passionate about leveraging my unique skills and knowledge to develop innovative and effective social media strategies that align with business objectives. My background in event planning and Professional Event Management Certification has also provided me with valuable experience in managing projects, coordinating resources, and meeting deadlines.​
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Visualization specializing in Graphic Design. I also graduated with a minor in Business Administration, a minor in Art and Architecture History, and a Professional Event Management Certification.

Although my work keeps me busy, my family is my number one passion and priority. I married my best friend, Matthew, in 2016, and together we live in Waxahachie, TX with our beautiful 3 children, Luke, Annie and Mark We also have the sweetest Goldendoodle named Sophie Belle. I enjoy organizing, crafting, puzzles, baking and traveling.

DESIGN
It all started in Adobe Photoshop. I have many years experience in graphic design using the Adobe Creative Suite software. I have utilized this experience in brands, print design, and media design. My skill set also includes website design and development using HTMl and CSS. I have experience with user interface and the full design and devlopment from start to finish of company websites.
EVENT PLANNING

I have a Professional Event Management Certification. I utilize this certification in my passion for organization, weddings, & event planning. I interned for a wedding and event coordinator which gives me the experience and skill set to coordinate weddings and events.
PHOTOGRAPHY
My hobby for photography has turned into a passion. I have experience in scenic, still life, and portrait photography. I would like to begin specializing in seniors, couples, families, newborns, & wedding photography.
