I am a Graphic/Web Desginer for Texas A&M University Center for Teaching Excellence(CTE). I have been with CTE for a year an half, but I have only been working full time since January 2016. My main role at CTE is the responsibility to design, develop and maintian the department's website. I also am responsible for multiple print and media design, videography, and photography for the department. Below are examples of my work for CTE.

CTE Website

This is just one of the many pages I have created for the TAMU Center for Teaching Excellence website. The website is built using a platform template picked by the university called Kentico, so the main layout of the website is a template, not my design. I have designed the content that goes on each page, I have created graphics to help each page stand out, and I have helped develop the website to where it is today. We started with the skeleton, and I filled it in. For example, on the image above, I creating the colorful icons used as a navigation menu for many of the landing pages of the website. I created these pages with strong user interface in mind. I had to make sure, someone who has know clue what CTE does could get around the website very easily. AFF Logo

The Academy for Future Faculty(AFF) is one of the certification programs provided by CTE. They recently changed their name from Graduate Teaching Academy(GTA) to AFF, so they were in need of a re-brand. I was asked to design a logo for the new name of the program. They asked for something simple, professional, and similar yet different from the current logo they had. The logo above is what I designed. It has been used for many print and media products for the program, such as, T-Shirts, presentations, flyers, the website, table cards, and much more.

Program (Re)Design Booklet

I was asked to design a booklet layout for one of our many learning programs with CTE. The design approach I took was to create something modern and appealing to the eye. One of the requests I was given, was to create something the viewer is going to want to read. Some people don't realize this, but the layout and look of anything is one of the greatest factors in keeping the viewer/reader interested. Above is the cover of the booklet. I believe with this cover, the viewers will be immediately interested the second they see it.

Together We

I was asked to create a tagline graphic that would eventually be used as the new look and statement of the department. The statement that was requested to use was, Together we teach, together we learn, together we lead. The graphic above was one of my designs chosen for this. It will eventually be used in department stationary templates, flyer templates, powerpoint templates, email signatures, and more. This is the new face of Texas A&M University Center for Teaching Excellence.

Social Media Graphic

Another graphic I was asked to create, is the one above. I was asked to create a graphic to be used for all of our social media advertisements. One thing that is popular in today's culture are icons. I used this icon aspect to create this graphic, to appeal to the eye of the viewer. This aspect stands out to the viewer becuase it is something appealing in today's culture.
